Finally there'll be a sync for my iPhone and Garmin. I'd like to see some or any updates I suggested but I guess development on Cychosis has stopped. Anywho, the future looks like Pedal Brain.

Skeeta, I saw that. Let me say this:

1) Cychosis development is DEFINITELY not stopped. I've been struggling a bit with my day time job during uncertain economic times, and am in fact making an employer change this week. That has taken a lot of time. But in 2010 Cychosis will definitely get some big updates.

2) I saw PedalBrain, and I will almost certainly be one of the first customers. Looks very cool.

3) Cychosis and PedalBrain solve different problems, although clearly there is overlap. PedalBrain will never be attractive to the occasional cyclist wanting to journal their exercise -- for one, it requires a GPS enabled device (so no 1st gen iPhones, no current Touches), and additionally it will cost quite a bit more to get started -- the very basic setup will be well in excess of $100. I believe it will also require their bicycle mount -- and where does that leave you when you upgrade to the next iPhone that is half thickness and overall size distinct? Hopefully not left holding a $110 piece of plastic and having to purchase another.

PedalBrain will be an awesome solution for committed amateurs and serious racers, especially combined with a team and coaching staff, and funding. Most of that class of rider would never use Cychosis anyway.

Thanks for the note and the gentle prodding though -- appreciated :-)

Thanks for the reply Ron and confirming that Cychosis development hasn't stopped. I completely understand the pressures of developers and fully appreciate the time you've taken to update Cychosis.

I jumped onto Cychosis as Garmin declined to create an iPhone app. I have a Garmin Edge 305 device and while it's good, I'd like the option to port the data into my iPhone, as well as their database software. After trying a few other "Cycle based" iPhone apps, Cychosis was clearly above the rest.

I agree that Pedal Brain will be an expensive option and expect in time, developers taking advantage of the ANT+ wireless protocol enabled in the latest Garmin Edge 705 device, to bring costs to a reasonable level.

Cychosis is by far better than any out there; while manually entering the data from my Garmin device to Cychosis. I look forward to any updates.

Thanks once again.
